Jeff Lewis Flipping Out on Bravo TV 

Home flipping has never been this popular. This has become a hot trend in the real estate industry and has inspired various reality television shows. At first, there was only “Flip This House” aired over the A&E cable network, then came “The Real Deal” which is now “The Real Estate Pros.” Now, here comes “Flipping Out,” a comedy show that deals with, what else, flipping real estate properties and, in addition, flipping out of emotions. 

This hilarious show, which premiered last July 31, revolves around the life of Jeff Lewis, one of the most colorful real estate speculators in Los Angeles. Being a compulsive-obsessive kind of a man, Jeff is into home flipping earning millions of dollars in profits from each property. He can even manage to flip six houses at one time. 

Lewis, of course, is not the only one in the story. He has several employees under him who have different personalities and who help him in his real estate business as well as in his home. There’s Jenni, his executive assistant, who also moonlights as a voice-over artist, actress, writer and rapper. With many years of experience in the entertainment industry, Jenni learns that optimism and patience are important values when dealing with her boss. She thinks Jeff is a genius but crazy like the other geniuses. 

Chris is the trash man and husband of Jenni, although he is also an actor and comedian. He’s been fired by Lewis for about five or six times but he remains a loyal and cheerful worker and capable of being the third house assistant. You’ve seen before in the movies “How High” and “Revenge of the Mummy.” 

The other members of Lewis’ extended family include his business partner and ex-boyfriend Ryan, Zoila the housekeeper, two disgruntled assistants Steve and Brandt, Monkey, Jeff’s cat plus the therapists and spiritual advisors. 

Dealing with an extended family is no easy feat for Jeff Lewis. They have their share of problems which cause Jeff to flip out every now and then. When this happens, he turns to his therapists, spiritual healers, psychics and other advisors. He may get disappointed with his workers but he admits they are important in his life. “The people take care of me and my home and my pets. They can’t leave. I can’t do this without them,” says Jeff. 

Who wouldn’t flip out if your workers don’t show up at the job site or your cat experiences an adverse reaction to his acupuncture session? Jeff Lewis will surely be. In fact, even when he can’t find his cat, Monkey, for just a few hours, Jeff already panics. Some small problems may even lead to the firing of one or two employees. 

Oh well, if you want to de-stress yourself and have a good laugh, just watch this show on Bravo TV. It may be a crazy and flipping world he lives in but Jeff is as human as we all are – full of emotions and friendly to even his frustrated employees.
