Sell This House - Show on A&E
With a concept of helping homeowners having trouble selling their homes and knowing what prospective buyers are really thinking about the house, A&E's reality housing show "Sell This House" continues to hit. Looking into the minds of both the seller and the buyer, the show secretly videotapes the prospective buyers to know their observations on the house. This in turn gives homeowners the knowledge on what buyers are liking and hating about their respective homes.
Hosted by popular media host Tanya Memme and buff design guru Roger Hazard, the show offers a great perspective to millions of homeowners who want to sell their houses and are looking for great tips and inside scoop on the industry. The show offers a lot of pointers and suggestions on how to prepare your house before you open it to the market. What happens in the show is that after the open house, the hosts together with the sellers review the comments of the prospective buyers. Sometimes the comments can be quite brash and very critical which can hurt the homeowners who have put all their energy and money into the house. However, the comment-reviewing portion is needless to say the integral part of the show as it sheds light on what really needs to be done for the house to sell.
After all the reviewing has been done, Roger Hazard comes into the picture, using all the comments made by prospective buyers into making a plan on how the house will be redesigned and redecorated. The house is then staged usually on a shoestring budget, undergoing all the repainting and de-cluttering that must be done to improve the look and the function. The homeowners also receive some advice and tips from a real estate and home decoration expert who recommends certain changes. After the whole process, the same open house visitors are invited back to the house to comment on the changes made during the show. More often than not, after a house has been visited and helped by the Sell This House team, the house for sale is sold quickly.
Lots of great reviews have been made about the tandem of Tanya Memme and Roger Hazard, as the two hosts were said to have great chemistry and just the right sense of humor as they help people clear out their houses, paint, de-clutter, and make a fortune for their property. A former beauty queen and a seasoned host, Tanya is popular media figure, having hosted a series of hit shows before like the CBS-2's "9 On The Town" and ABC-7's "Eye on LA". She has also become the official face of DirecTV and one of the hosts of TLC's "Robotica" for three seasons. To date, she is currently shooting a movie and on her way to the music business aw well. But growing up in a family with a housing company, it seems that Tanya only went back to her roots when she hosted the prime Sell This House series.
Meanwhile, Roger Hazard is a former landscaping guru and business owner who crossed over into house designing and whose ventures in designing celebrity homes, sets, and other interiors have all been successful.
